Am 25. Juni 2011 werden in Tokio die MTV Video Music Awards Japan vergeben. Dieses Jahr wurde die Veranstaltung wegen der Erdbebenkatastrophe in MTV Video Music Aid Japan umbenannt. Die Erlöse des Events gehen an das Japanische Rote Kreuz.
